Australian company, National Foods, is promoting its use of 100 per cent Australian fruit juice with a television ad featuring Ronn Moss, Californian soap star. Berri Australian Fresh, the second biggest brand in the Australian chilled fruit juice market, is now using only Australian juice.
The ad starts with 30 seconds of a horse rider riding over Australian hill country, with music evoking the spirit of the Australian movie, “The Man From Snowy River”. The camera reveals the rider to be Ronn Moss, whose face would be known from his role of Ridge Forrester in The Bold and the Beautiful. Ronn is met by a woman played by Simone McAullay, known for her role as Senior Constable Susie Raynor in the Australian police television drama series, Blue Heelers. An older man sharpens his blades on the whit stone. She says, “You shouldn’t have come back here McCoy! They’ll be looking for you!” He says, with an attempt at an Australian accent, “They can’t bloody well keep me away! It’s my land! My country!” She says, “I love you McCoy!” “I know!”, comes the reply, in a line worthy of Han Solo in Star Wars.
The voiceover and super: “You can tell when it’s not all Aussie. Australian Fresh. It’s 100% Australian fruit.” Click on the image below to play the video in YouTube (HD)
