Panic At The Disco Write Sins Not Tragedies
Panic! At The Disco, up and coming Las Vegas band, are in the running for a number of awards for their music video made for “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”.
The music video for “I Write The Sins Not The Tragedies” begins with a close up of a table in a wedding chapel, presumably in Las Vegas. A clergyman holds a Bible and faces a bride and groom. The couple exchange vows of love while a young member of the congregation whispers to a friend that the bride is a whore. The door opens, letting in the tophat-wearing lead singer and a number of actors with painted faces. “Haven’t you ever heard of closing the door?” The wedding guests and visitors break into dance while the couple argue. The bride storms out. The lead singer takes the groom through the door, to reveal her embracing one of the painted men. Caught red-lipped!

Panic! At The Disco members are Ryan Ross (guitar), Spencer Smith (drums), Jon Walker (bass), and Brendon Urie (vocals and guitar). Brent Wilson was drummer until May this year. Their name comes from a song, Panic, by Name Taken, in reference to a song by the same name by The Smiths. See the Panic! At The Disco MySpace site.
The music video was directed by Shane Drake at Red Van Pictures, with character performers Lucent Dossier. Shane hosts I Write Sins Not Tragedies as a 29.465 mb quicktime video.
