Morrissey I Have Forgiven Jesus
Morrissey, former leader of The Smiths, released a video for his 2004 song, “I Have Forgiven Jesus”, in which he explored disillusionment with Jesus and church leaders, complaining about forbidden love, abandonment and frustration.

Stephen Patrick Morrissey, or Moz as he is affectionately known by his fans, is dressed as a priest in black with white clerical collar. He and his band walk the grey streets with a dour demenour befitting the tone of the song.
“I Have Forgiven Jesus” first featured on the album, “You Are The Quarry”.
Credits and Online Viewing
The “I Have Forgiven Jesus” music video was filmed during the first week of November 2004, directed by AV Club (Bucky Fukumoto). It is featured online in the AV Club portfolio at The Directors Bureau as a quicktime video. It is also featured as a bonus music video on the live music DVD, “Who Put the M in Manchester?”.
Morrissey’s official site is Morrissey Music. He also has a MySpace site.
Lyrics for I Have Forgiven Jesus
I was a good kid,
I wouldn’t do you no harm,
I was a nice kid,
With a nice paper round
Forgive me any pain,
I may have brung to ya,
With God’s help I know,
I’ll always be near to ya
But Jesus hurt me,
When he deserted me,
but, I have forgiven Jesus
For all the desire You placed in me
when there’s nothing I can do with this desire
I was a good kid,
Through hail and snow,
I’d go just to moon you,
I carried my heart in my hand
Do you understand,
Do you understand
But Jesus hurt me,
When he deserted me,
but, I have forgiven Jesus
For all of the love, You placed in me
when there’s no one I can turn to with this love
Monday -- humiliation,
Tuesday -- suffocation,
Wednesday -- condescension,
Thursday -- is pathetic
By Friday life has killed me,
By Friday life has killed me,
Oh pretty one, Oh pretty one
Why did you give me so much desire,
when there is nowhere I can go to offload this desire?
And why did you give me so much love in a loveless world,
when there’s no one I can turn to to unlock all this love?
And why did you stick in self deprecating bones and skin?,
Jesus do you hate me?
Why did you stick in self deprecating bones and skin?
Do you hate me?, Do you hate me?
Do you hate me? Do you hate me? Do you hate me?

To whom it may concern
What a cheap man mr Morrissey is to call Jesus he has hurt me! Jesus has never hurt or hated nobody accoroding the holy scriptures, he blessed the people who hurt him. Only one man can hate u and hurt u and that is the islam founder himself. Jesus name itself it heals, it has power for the good, u r a winner, u come first in his toughts, your saviour your way.
You only can listen to your song in hell and not in heaven! Amen
Jason,
you are an absolute weapon.
I don’t know what “Weapon” means, but i hope it translates to bugger off Jason. your pathetic christian arse gravy..yet again i’m rendered speechless by the idiocy created by the church. You have to look deeper than just one line of the lyrics mate. have a think.
Faith…
is a weapon of mass destruction.
mr Morrissey, you are a fool to put such a comment,
and if you dont repent you will be in hell, Jesus never hurt anyone.
May the Lord Jesus reveal His love to you that you may know He is the Lord and you may saved. Amen
Jason and Worshiper – it’s not Jesus that Morrisey’s singing about. It’s more about people who abuse others in his name. And threatening people with hell is another example of that abuse.
