Apple iPod Nano Colors Audience is Listening
Apple’s remastered 2GB iPod Nano has been launched with an online video featuring the music of DJ Cut Chemist. The three hot colours of the iPod Nano, aqua, green and pink, are linked with silver and black by dancers painting streams of light against a black background. The 30 second clip finishes with the five ipods, the super, “The new iPod nano, Completely Remastered”, and a white Apple logo against a black background.
The Apple iPod Nano Colors spot was developed at TBWA/Chiat/Day, Los Angeles, by worldwide chief creative officer Lee Clow, creative directors Duncan Milner and Eric Grunbaum, art director Nathan Iverson, and agency producer Mike Refuerzo.
Filming was directed by Mark Romanek via Anonymous Content, Culver City, with director of photography Jim Fealy, executive producers Dave Morrison and Susye Melega, animation producer Jennifer Lucero, and producers Aris McGarry and Nicole Steele.
Editor was Glenn Martin at Nomad Editing Company, Santa Monica.
Colorist was Stefan Sonnenfeld at Company 3.
Sound was mixed by John Boland at Play, Santa Monica.
Music for the Apple 2GB iPod Nano Remastered ad is “The Audience is Listening Theme Song”, the final track from the Cut Chemist album, “The Audience’s Listening”, released in July 2006. The lyrics include the lines, “Listen, listen to the music”, “So put it in your head”, “We will Control the Highs”, “We Will Control the Lows”, and “Listen to this!”. Cut Chemist is Lucas McFadden, a solo DJ artist, former member of funk Latin band Ozomatli and underground rap group Jurassic 5. See the Cut Chemist official site.
